Close your eyes and picture your street twenty years from now, if things go right. What do you see? Fruit trees on the verge? Community solar on every roof? A tool library where the parking lot was?

My starter vision: every neighborhood grows at least 20% of its own produce, repair cafés outnumber fast-food outlets, and "waste" is a word kids have to look up.
