🔒 Privacy
This is a small community forum, run by one person. It isn't a business, it doesn't sell anything, and it doesn't make money from you or your attention. Here is exactly what it stores and why — in plain language, with nothing buried.
What this forum stores
- Your username. Shown publicly on everything you post.
- Your password, hashed. Passwords are run through bcrypt before being saved. The plain password is never stored and cannot be recovered — not even by the administrator.
- Your email address, only if you give one. It is optional. You can register and take part fully without it.
- What you post — your threads and replies, and when you wrote them. These are public to anyone visiting the site.
- Your notification preference and which threads you're watching.
What your email is used for
One thing: sending you a notification when someone replies to a thread you're watching, if you've turned that on. It is never used for newsletters, marketing, or anything you didn't ask for. You can change your address or switch notifications off at any time in your settings, or leave the field empty entirely.
Who can see it
Your posts and username are public. Your email address is not shown anywhere on the site — not on your posts, not to other members. The administrator can look it up when there's a reason to, such as helping with an account problem or a request to delete your data.
What this forum does not do
- Your information is never sold, rented, traded, or shared with anyone else. There is no third party to share it with.
- No advertising, and no advertising networks.
- No analytics, no tracking pixels, no fingerprinting. Visits aren't measured.
- No third-party fonts, scripts, or embeds — every file the site loads comes from the site itself, so no outside company sees that you were here.
- No profiling, and nothing is fed to any AI training system.
Cookies
One cookie, and only after you log in. It holds a random session identifier that keeps you signed in — no personal information is stored inside it. It expires after two weeks, and logging out clears it. There are no tracking or advertising cookies.
Deleting your account
Email the administrator at solarpunkvegan@timartweb.com and ask. Your account, your email address, and your posts will be removed. You're also welcome to ask what's stored about you, or to correct it.
Security, honestly stated
The site is served over HTTPS, passwords are hashed with bcrypt, and the database is backed up. That said, no small community site can promise perfect security, and it would be dishonest to claim otherwise. Please use a password you don't use anywhere else, and don't post anything here you'd be harmed by if it became public.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, it'll be posted on the forum rather than quietly edited.
